🌱About us: our vision and mission

🌱 ABOUT US 🌱

Our company was founded on a set of beliefs that align with the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goals. We strive to holistically contribute to these goals by focusing on Good Health and Well Being as well as ensuring Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns. Sustainability is a multi-faceted construct that focuses on meeting the needs of the present whilst avoiding compromising on any of the future generations' needs. WH² is not only committed to this but takes this a step further by actively developing processes and systems that help make the future a better place. WH² hopes to promote a new mentality towards conscious consumption which will see further strides towards sustainability development.

🌱OUR VISION 🌱

WH²'s vision is to be a part of the greater Sustainability Movement with respects to sustainable urban farming methods and carbon conscious consumption. Our uniquely developed production method allows for product maximisation whilst minimising waste  and our carbon footprint. This ensures a net positive impact on our environment.

🌱 OUR MISSION 🌱

Our mission is to create greater awareness of the importance of being carbon conscious in the 21st Century. We aim to provide products that have a minimal water footprint, and to further promote water consumption consciousness. Our promise is to provide products that are dense in micronutrients, and to create a greater understanding of the importance of micronutrients as a part of the human diet whilst systematically helping our consumers move away from a ‘more is better’ mentality.

"Super efficient service for a super delicious and healthy product! Love the mission of this company, and their products taste great, too."

🌱A guide to Micros

Micros (also known as microherbs or microgreens) are tasty, beautiful, low in calories and nutritious. These delicacies have been a staple part of the fine dining experience ever since they arrived on the restaurant scene in San Francisco 30 years ago. Today, they become your friends in creating healthy works of art in your kitchen!

🌱WHAT ARE THEY?🌱

Micros are the younger plants of what would traditionally grow to full maturity. So yes, anything can be a Micro. Harvesting takes place within 2 weeks from planting, prior to when the first set of adult leaves (true leaves) begin to appear. The leaves present in this premature stage are known as cotyledons.

🌱WHY CHOOSE MICROS?🌱

Well, why not! The average micro green is 9 times more nutritionally dense and has fewer calories than its adult counterpart. Using micros is a great way to reduce calorie intake whilst increasing nutrition into your diet. Not to mention it brings an entirely new dimension to you and your family's dining experience.

🌱HOW TO USE MICROS🌱

It is as simple as sprinkling them on top! Other than that, there are a host of other applications from blending it into soups to adding them into stews and stir fries. Each micro has its own texture and taste - it is up to our senses to determine the best way we would like to utilise them!

Introducing as little as 30 grams, daily, will have a phenomenal influence on your day-to-day life. As their plethora of micronutrients, trace minerals, polyphenols and antioxidants get to work, you'll find yourself healthier and happier with a reduced risk of Heart Disease, Alzheimer's, Diabetes and Cancer.
